Clear Bra
For RV Paint Protection
The days of the
old
black RV bra are over. Step into the future of paint protection with
Diamond Shield clear bra paint protection film.
There is no doubt that the front of your RV needs some protection from
road hazards, including, bugs, rocks, road debris, etc. If you drive an
RV just a few miles without any protection on the front, you will most
likely find some damage has already occurred. Over the course of months
or years this damage can become very significant requiring several
thousand dollars of paint repair, not even counting the loss of the use
of the coach while it is in for repair if you are a full-timer.
Until just the last few years the only alternatives for paint
protection were the big black bra (the most popular choice) or the
mounted plastic Lexan shield that bolts on the front. Before we
discuss
the benefits of our clear bra paint protection film let's talk about
the advantages and disadvantages of these other products first.
Black bra - This option will
definitely keep rocks and road debris from harming your paint. However,
cleaning bugs off of it can be much more challenging than just removing
them from the painted surface. You also MUST remove the bra regularly,
in between washes to clean the dirt and dust buildup on the back of the
bra. This is done with a stiff bristle brush and it is not only time
consuming but takes lots of effort as well. If you don't do this as you
should expect even more damage to your paint because the dust buildup
on the back of the bra begins to act like sandpaper on the paint finish
as you travel down the road. And, you must remove the bra whenever
washing your RV as trapped moisture can even set up mold and mildew
behind the bra material. Finally, why would you want to pay the money
for a beautiful paint job on your RV only to cover it up with a big
black bra?
Bolt-on Plastic Lexan Shield - This option
also prevents rocks, bugs, and debris from harming your paint, but now
you have 3 surfaces to clean on the front of your RV instead of one:
(1) the front of the shield, (2) the back of the shield, (3) and the
front of the RV itself. You will have to remove the plastic shield
whenever any cleaning or maintenance work needs to be done to the front
of the coach or inside the hood, and that means unbolting the pieces
for removal. This is time consuming and can be hard work. This is also
the most expensive option, often costing several thousand dollars.
Finally, again you are interfering with the beauty and appearance of
the front of your RV with this option
Clear Bra Paint Protection
Film -
Once agin, this option will protect the front of your RV from rocks,
bugs, and road debris. But this option does not cover up any of your
beautiful paint job or interfere with the appearance of the coach in
any way. In fact, you would have to look very hard to find the shield
edges on the front end at all. Most people, would not even know that it
is there. You also do not need to do anything special to care for the
clear bra shield as it can be cleaned just as you would with the rest
of the exterior of your RV. It is practically maintenance free. Once it
is installed by one of our Certified Installers you can have peace of
mind knowing that your RV's front end paint is being protected with
state of the art material that requires almost no effort on your part
to maintain.

What is Diamond Shield Clear Bra
Paint Protection Film?
Diamond Shield uses 8 mil pressure sensitive urethane films with an
adhesive system designed for the new generation of automotive clear
coats and other typical OEM finishes. Their film is optically clear
with a high gloss finish designed for use as a protective film in
Automotive, RV, Marine and Architectural markets. The clear bra kits are designed with minimal relief cuts, if
any, and minimal visible seams, in most cases.
Diamond Shield was the first in the industry to use a 30" format while
competitors used a 24" format. The larger format is what allows them to
design the best fitting kits in the industry. And Diamond Shield is
also the only installer of paint protection film to wrap edges around
the generator and hood doors. Side coverage goes to front cap moldings
on most models.
Diamond Shield also comes with a limited warranty against peeling,
cracking, shrinking and a repair warranty of up to $1,000 should paint
damage occur on the protected area.
